How You Can Help
The idea behind Rescue Dogs Delhi took root in 2013, when a then 21 year old discovered the wonderous world of the “stray” dogs all around her.
Now, five years later, she and members of The Collective have fed, medicated and sterilised 30+ dogs and continue to do so everyday (this number increases day by day too).
Rescue Dogs Delhi is not a shelter and it can not be identified as an organisation started by any particular individual.
We would rather like it to be identified as a movement and a collective.
A movement that seeks to change people’s perceptions on desi dogs and adopting (and subsequently abandoning) desi and pedigree dogs.
We also disseminate information and spread awareness on street dog care and rights.
Minimising human-dog conflicts is an important aim and we focus on this by shattering myths about community dogs and teaching people and children the appropriate way to behave around them.
care for the dogs near you
Caring for community dogs is an enriching and rewarding activity. Not only does it make us all kinder and more tolerant people, it also minimises human-dog conflict. We have prepared a reference guide for people who are interested in this, and for those of us who already do a lot for our furry pals (but could do with a little bit of advice).
directory of helplines
Rescue Dogs Delhi is not a shelter or ambulance service, so unfortunately we may not be available to pick up/treat injured or orphaned dogs, but we will always be there to help guide you. You may reach out to us via any of the ways listed in the Contact section for any kind of help. We have also provided a list of helplines that may be able to better assist you in your particular situation.

our doggo tribe
Our doggo tribe now comprises of 30+ dogs (and counting!). These doggos are puppers are our pride and joy. We do not run a shelter for them; instead, we feed and play with them everyday and immunise and treat them on-site. Most of them have already been sterilised, and the rest will be sent shortly.
These babies are the reasons behind everything we do; they inspire us to continue marching onwards.
